When the fireworks sound off this Fourth of July, we should all remember those who enabled us to let freedom ring and raise a glass to their honor.

Pendleton Whisky released its new Military Appreciation bottle this Armed Forces Day. And no drink is better-suited for Independence Day than the “Pendleton Salute” cocktail introduced along with it. 

The limited-edition whiskey bottle was developed in partnership with the Bob Woodruff Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will go to non-profit organizations supporting American veterans and their families around the US.

Ingredients

Steps to Make

  1. Stir ingredients very well with ice.
  2. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
  3. Garnish with blueberries.

2. My Clover Club

  2. Make sure to shake well, then serve in a coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with raspberry powder and dehydrated raspberry.

3. Strawberry Margarita

Pranthink's @parttimemixologist take on Strawberry Margarita is a wonderfully refreshing beverage perfect for any occasion. It is made by combining tequila, triple sec liqueur, fresh lime juice, and of course, strawberries into one delicious drink that will leave your taste buds happy!

Ingredients

Steps to Make

  1. Muddle strawberries in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice.
  3. Shake well and double strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
  4. Garnish with a strawberry.

4. Raspberry Kiss Cocktail

Raspberry Kiss Cocktail

The Raspberry Kiss Cocktail is a refreshing drink with two shots of rum, one shot of vodka, and 1/2 ounce of each grenadine syrup and blue curacao. 

The name comes from the mix's sweet taste that reminds people of a peck on the lips or kissing. And if you want to take it up a notch, add some whipped cream to top off this fantastic concoction by Cocktail Bar Catering @shot34_!

Steps to Make

  1. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. Add raspberry lemonade and vodka, stir to combine.
  3. Garnish with fresh raspberries.

5. Rainbow Mojito

Rainbow Mojito cocktail

The Rainbow Mojito has colors that range from red to violet. The drink is often made with lemon, lime, and white rum. When the bartender pours all of these ingredients into a hurricane glass, they create shades so vivid you'll feel like you're drinking in technicolor!

Ingredients

  • 15 Fresh mint leaves
  • 8 Limes, quartered
  • 4 cups Simply Mixed Berry
  • 2 cups White rum
  • 1 cup Club soda
  • ¼ cup Strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup Raspberries
  • ¼ cup Blueberries
  • ¼ cup Blackberries
  • 6 Mint sprigs

Steps to Make

    1. Place mint and limes in a large cocktail shaker, using a muddler to crush the mint and lime into one another. 
    2. Transfer mixture to a large pitcher and add in Simply Mixed Berry and rum. Stir to combine. 
    3. Strain the mixture and set it aside.
    4.  Fill a glass with ice and pour club soda 1/3 of the way up top. Add in fruit, and then top off the glass with mojito mixture. 
    5. Garnish with mint sprig.

6. Avant Garden

Get your taste buds ready for a bit of adventure! The Avant Garden is made with Gin Orbium, amontillado Sherry, Salers Aperitif, and fresh lemon + pineapple. It's finished off with delightful celery ginger cordial that will have you coming back for more!

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Make sure to shake well.
  3. Garnish with celery ginger cordial.

7. Tomatillo and Mezcal Margarita

Tomatillo and Mezcal Margarita

Kick-off the weekend by throwing your Tomatillo and Mezcal Margarita party! It'll take a few minutes to prepare, but it's worth every second of time. 

There are three ways you can make this margarita: with lime peel and salt rim (lightly grate one slice of the lime peel on top and mix with coarsely ground sea salt), Tajin or regular salt rims, or no edge at all - whichever complements your happy hour is OK in our book!

Ingredients

For the Tomatillo juice:

  • 2 Medium-sized tomatillos
  • 1 Persian cucumber

For the base:

  • 1 oz. Muddle and Wilde Lime-Jalapeño
  • 1 oz. Fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz. Tomatillo and Cucumber juice
  • 4 oz. Mezcal

Steps to Make

  1. Blend two medium-size tomatillos with one Persian cucumber and strain out the pulp.
  2. Shake ingredients with ice and strain them into a glass with ice.
  3. Garnish with a cucumber stick and a lime slice.

8. Comuna Coladas

Do you know what's in an authentic Colombian cocktail called Comuna Coladas?  

It comprises three simple yet potent ingredients - pineapple juice, white rum (Bacardí solera), and coconut milk from boxed packets. All mixed to make for one amazing drink!

10. Skinny Margarita

The margarita is a classic cocktail, but its calorie content can make it off-limits for many people. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this refreshing drink without all the guilt! 

Brittany Mullins @eatingbirdfood Skinny Margarita uses fresh orange juice instead of Triple Sec and incorporates some zing with lime juice without adding sugar (fewer calories).

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Tequila
  • 1 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz. fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 packet Stevia
  • 1-2 oz. Club soda or lime sparkling water
  • 1 Lime wedge garnish
  • Ice

Steps to Make

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and stevia. 
  2. Shake for about 30 seconds until chilled.
  3. Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with a lime/orange wedge. 
  5. Top with 1-2 oz. of club soda.
