The Regatta classic ginger beer is made with natural ingredients without any preservatives or artificial ingredients. The sugar used in making the mixture is pure cane sugar, which is healthier than the commercialized version. The brand also manufacturers their signature mix in small batches to assure excellent quality for every can.

While Regatta’s ginger beer is perfect to be consumed on its own, it is also an excellent mixer for cocktails, particularly for Moscow Mules. It has a sweeter note that is ideal for balancing out the bitter and sour flavors of the cocktails.

Are you looking for a ginger beer that has a sweeter side rather than a spicier kick? Well, look no further and choose Regatta’s creation. The natural cane sugar used makes the mixture more fruity and floral than the usual tangy and spicy flavors of other ginger beers. However, there is still the right amount of heat that you can enjoy in every sip of the beverage.

Why the Best Ginger Beer Appeals to People?

Ginger beer traces its roots in the mid-1800s in England. Later, it became popular in the United States, Ireland, South Africa, and Canada. However, the first versions of ginger beer were not supposed to be alcoholic as it was made as a medicinal drink.

Some ginger beers are labeled “alcoholic” in the UK to distinguish them from the carbonated, non-alcoholic ginger beer that has already gained a good following. Here’s why we think ginger beer is appealing to people:

                            1. It has a unique flavor.

Some people like adventure and edge, which are precisely what you’ll find when drinking ginger beer. The combination of its spicy ginger flavor and its citrusy lime juice are some of the reasons why it appeals to people.

                            2. Ginger beer takes pride in its ingredients.

                            Clusters of ginger

There are no substitutes for quality ingredients when making ginger beer. No ginger essence is added, no artificial carbonation, and no high fructose syrups as sweeteners. Only fresh ginger is used here and cane sugar as a sweetener.

                            3. It is fermented, not manufactured.

                            Fermenting machine

Some ginger beers are manufactured and carbonated with pressurized carbon dioxide, qualifying them as a soda, not an alcoholic drink. The alcoholic ginger beers, on the other hand, are painstakingly fermented to preserve their authenticity.

                            4. Availability of non-alcoholic options.

No one is left behind when you’re partying with people who cannot drink or choose not to drink. Since ginger beer offers a non-alcoholic option, you can still enjoy it with the rest of the “liquor squad.”

Best Ginger Beer for Moscow Mule Buying Guide

One’s taste should be the gauge on choosing the perfect ginger beer to go with his Moscow mule cocktail. Here are a few things you might consider before selecting the ideal ginger beer for you, aside from the taste.

                            • Calories

                            Nutritional facts

Calories from drinks and junk foods are usually called empty calories since they add up without giving you as much satiety as whole foods, as fruits and vegetables do. Much of the calories from ginger beer comes from sugars.

The American Health Association had set a limit of 6 teaspoons of added sugar for women and nine teaspoons for men. Other foods we eat naturally have sugars, and added sugar could be a bane to health.

If you must, try a low-calorie alternative to ginger beers. However, sweeteners used in low-calorie products leave an aftertaste that many do not favor. Indulge if you must but always consider moderation.

                            • Taste

                            Group of friends drinking together

If we are honest with ourselves, we consider this the most crucial feature when choosing the perfect ginger beer. Taking the base spirit into account, select the ginger beer with a flavor profile that will complement it.

Vodka should not be a problem since it is a neutral spirit with not much character on its own, making it a good base for cocktails. But when using other spirits, it is best to understand the profile of your base spirit.

A dry spirit should be mixed with sweet ginger beer. Meanwhile, sweet-tasting liquors can be combined with fiery ginger beers.

                            Conclusion

Despite the countless options, we hope you've decided on the best ginger beer for you, with a little help from this review. If you are still undecided and feeling adventurous, perhaps you can create your homemade ginger beer instead.

                            • My parents drank Moscow mules in the 60’s and now everybody knows what there are again. What was was old is new again. The ginger beer I remember was either Canada Dry or Schweppes, but they’re not around any more. Why do restaurants/bars insist on trying to come up with some fancy home made ginger flavored syrup. Most of them are NASTY and ruin the refreshing quality of a Moscow mule. Thanks for the great article, I’ll need to try a few that I don’t usually drink. My gotos are Gosling’s and Barrett’s.
