    This is a great strainer. I bought this and the Oxo and ended up keeping this one. I liked the short handle on the Oxo because it made storage easier, but the coils were too far apart and really didn't filter out the pulp. This strainer has very tight coils and strains out nearly all the pulp. It also filters out all the ice shards, which I actually like having in my cocktails, but it's a small price to pay. It fits my metal shaker well and is easy to hold. It's also very easy to clean. I …

    The spring is what holds back the ice shards etc. this is much better than my previous generic Hawthorne strainer. Its does a good job.Easy to clean up. I expect many "happy" hours of use from it.

    This was one of the first things I dug out of the box when I moved, I couldn’t wait to make a drink! It’s a well made product, very lightweight, and works well. Looking forward to stepping up my cocktail making routine.

    We Drink cocktails and have several shakers.We own a traditional chrome tumbler w/ large glass shaker - without strainer (old style) we sometime’s have to use. It’s messy when you have a pretty full tumbler. Lots of edge spillage. Pilot error maybe. The spoon strainer really beats the spring strainer spill-wise. Much easier to use! Much easier to see/control. It’s actually for Juleps to strain mint and is great for muddled drinks.
