Function versus Beauty.I love this thing for it's beauty and heft and uniqueness. It's almost like a piece of sculpture sitting on the counter. I don't think it's as difficult to use as some reviewers suggest . . . I've sure spilled out of a regular/traditional jigger, too. Probably the most functional jigger has the measuring-cup-type spout so you don't spill as much, but where's the beauty in that? This kind of gives you that spout . . . just don't fill it too full and you're fine.

I got this jigger as a present. It looks really awesome, the workmanship is quite nice, and it has a nice hefty feel to it. I was skeptical that it would be more than just an art piece, but it even functions somewhat well. I've found the best way to use it is to pick your appropriate side, hover it over your glass/shaker, pour in the drink, then tip it gently towards one of its corners: the contents will cling and run down the edge towards the now bottom corner, then fall straight down into you
