Mamie Taylor Recipe
When Mayme Taylor went to the bar for a drink, she ordered claret lemonade. But when it arrived, it was not as strong on flavor as what she expected, with little gingery spice or smokiness present in either taste profile. This is where the Mamie Taylor cocktail comes into play!
2 oz. Blended scotch
¾ oz. Lime juice, freshly squeezed
Ginger beer, chilled, to top
Lime wedges, for garnish
Combine the scotch and lime juice in a highball glass. Fill it with ice.
Top it off with ginger beer. Stir gently until thoroughly combined.
You can garnish it with lime wedges.
For this recipe, it is best to use a blended scotch that is not too mild to get the most flavor and taste.
