Directions

For the Hibiscus Simple syrup:

1. Add the sugar, water, and dried hibiscus flowers to a small pot.

2. Heat over medium heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Let it simmer until the mixture reaches a syrup consistency.
4. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
5. Then strain out flowers. Set it aside.

For the cocktail:

1. Add vodka and 1 ounce of the simple syrup to a tall glass.

2. Stir together and add ice.

3. Top with sparkling water.

4. Serve with a wedge of fresh lime.
