Fig Bourbon Negroni
This year's fig harvest was so plentiful that we decided to use some in a bourbon infusion. The Fig Bourbon Negroni packs a serious punch!
Additionally, the dry sharpness of the Bruto Americano is well complemented by the sweetness of the bourbon, making for a delicious variation on the classic drink.
Additional Time: 3 to 5 days
To Make the Fig Infused Bourbon:
Quarter the figs and remove the stems.
- Pour the bourbon over the figs in a big jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Soak the figs for 3-5 days. The longer the figs soak, the more flavorful they get.
- When done, strain the bourbon into a clean bottle and serve.
To Make the Fig infused Bourbon Negroni:
Stir together the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice and top with 1⁄2 of fresh fig.
