Are you a cocktail lover? Do you love a challenge? And do you like to travel? If you answered “yes” to all three of those, you’ll love a Bloody Mary experience like no other!

A global heat bloody mary challenge takes this classic brunch cocktail and turns it into an international spice adventure. Let’s travel across the globe, infusing Bloody Marys with heat levels and flavors inspired by different cultures.

So, grab your favorite vodka, and a bottle of tomato juice, and let’s get spicy!

1. The Classic American Firestarter

Level: Mild to Medium

Starting with the OG, a good old American Bloody Mary. We know for its bold and savory taste which makes it the perfect base for a heat challenge.

What you need:

     2 oz vodka

     4 oz tomato juice

     ½ oz lemon juice

     ½ tsp prepared horseradish

     2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

     2 dashes of hot sauce

     Salt & pepper to taste

Celery stick & olives for garnish

The process is simple. Mix all the ingredients, pour over ice, and stir well. It’s a solid foundation, but now, let’s turn up the heat and get international.

2. The Mexican Michelada Mary

Level: Medium

Mexico knows they know how to spice up their drinks, and this Bloody Mary meets Michelada mash-up is a fantastic beverage. It swaps vodka for beer, giving it a light, refreshing twist while keeping the heat alive.

What you need:

1 bottle of Mexican lager (like Modelo or Pacifico)

     4 oz tomato juice

     ½ oz lime juice

     1 tsp hot sauce

     1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Tajín or chili salt for rimming the glass

     ½ tsp soy sauce

     A pinch of cayenne pepper

     Lime wedge for garnish

Start with rimming your glass with Tajín and then mix everything except the beer. Pour your mixture over ice, then top it with the beer. This one’s for those who love a spicy but easy-drinking cocktail!

3. The Thai Chili Basil Bloody Mary

Level: Medium to Hot

Thai cuisine is famous for its spicy bold flavors, and this Bloody Mary brings in the boldness of Thai chili, fresh basil, and a hint of lemongrass.

What you need:

     2 oz vodka

     4 oz tomato juice

     ½ oz lime juice

½ tsp fish sauce (trust us on this one!)

     2 dashes Sriracha

1 Thai chili (muddled for extra heat)

     2 fresh basil leaves

1 lemongrass stalk (for stirring and garnish)

Muddle the chili and basil in a shaker, before mixing with the remaining ingredients. Pour over ice, stir with a lemongrass stalk, and sip carefully. This is a drink that packs a real punch!

4. The Korean Kimchi Bloody Mary

Level: Hot

Korea has some great spicy flavors so what better way to embrace it than by adding kimchi and gochujang to your Bloody Mary?

What you need:

     ½ tsp soy sauce

     ½ tsp toasted sesame oil

     1 green onion for garnish

Sesame seeds for a finishing touch

Shake everything together, pour over ice, and garnish with green onion. The flavor is a smoky, umami-rich, and seriously spicy. Be ready for a spicy kick with this drink!

5. The Indian Masala Bloody Mary

Level: Very Hot
