For many people, scotch, sweet vermouth, cherry brandy, and orange juice may not belong together; but liquor drinkers that have already tried Blood and Sand say otherwise. Scotch and sweet vermouth is already a tried and tested combination, but the addition of cherry brandy and orange juice takes it to a whole new level and gives another dimension of flavors.
Combine the scotch, sweet vermouth, orange juice, and cherry liqueur into a cocktail shaker.
Fill with ice and shake vigorously until well blended and chilled.
Strain the contents into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe.
Fill with ice and stir gently until fully combined and chilled.
Strain it in a chilled cocktail glass.
You can garnish it with 2 brandied cherries on a toothpick.

This drink made its debut in 1930, when Harry Craddock introduced Blood and Sand Cocktail in his work, The Savoy Cocktail Book. Though the original creator of the drink is unknown, it is said to be influenced by the 1922 movie which easily paved the road to the cocktail’s recognition.
