These shots are perfect for your next Halloween party, but make sure to give yourself plenty of time before the big night. You want a perfect purple layer that's set, so it doesn't leak in between both layers when you pour them together!
In a medium bowl, combine jello and one cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
Add in the vodka. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or Halloween molds. Chill for at least 3 hours.
In a large measuring cup, whisk together 1 package of purple jello and 1 cup boiling water. When the powder is dissolved completely, top each shot with a black mixture and put it back in the refrigerator to firm up for 2-3 more hours.
When jello is firm, rim each shot glass with lime and dip in sanding sugar.
Recipe Note
Sanding sugar has been ground to have more abrasive grains than granulated white or brown sugars. It will not melt when exposed to high temperatures, making it perfect for cocktails, rolling cookie balls, and sprinkling on top before baking as an easy-to-apply decoration!
