ZYLISS Potato Masher, Stainless Steel

The gold standard for mashed potatoes in this household is ricing them, then mixing with butter and creamin the stand mixer. But that's for holidays, and the ricer is very difficult to clean. But for everyday mashed, I've tried various hand-held mashers that are easy to clean but don't mash well. Then I bought this one, andthe potatoes come out as lump-free as the ricer with much less effort and this is much easier to clean. I have been hand washing it as the dishwasher can do strange thing…s to silicone handles over time and I want this one to last because I love this masher!

This is the best potato masher I have ever owned. It is also excellent to mash beans for refried beans. Top quality product. If something changes, I'll amend my review!!!

This tool is excellent for making refried beans

This is the America Test Kitchen choice for potato mashers. It lives up to it's name. Mashed a dozen cooked russets in a flash--I love it ! Easy to clean too.

The thrift shop masher I bought years ago got rusty. I was not about to use it once that happened so I bought this new one. I like the look and feel of it. It is solid and has a good weightiness to it, without feeling heavy. Rinses clean or goes into the dishwasher with no issues.

This tool does a great job making a batch of mashed potatoes. It made short work of the Yukon gold potatoes I boiled. The end result was very smooth. There were no lumps left behind. It cleaned up easily.
