Handles the recommended 3/8" / 10mm continuous bead of GE Silicone 2 caulk like it was made for it (almost a whole tube) but it will never leak in my lifetime or until Aquarius.1, removed old sink2, cleaned perimeter of Formica with dish soap and putty knife Dry area3 (start clock) caulk new drop in sink4, lowered into cut out eyeball it not too much touching …light alignment by hand to square5, check for level (elapsed time 8 min) and press down sides to adjust6, let silicone skin and clean off around the outer edge where meets countertopNext installed drain after about two hours caulk cure time and completed plumbing connections under sink.Did not place any heavy weight in it for about 12 hours but washed plates in hot water to help melt plumber's putty in drain seal before check for bottom nut snugness. Total success so far.

this sink worked out great. I love it.

I replaced an old rusted cast-iron sink with this one. It fit perfectly, it drains well, and it looks great. I highly recommend installing the Fossett before installing the sink.
