I like to do my own canning and juicing. It's the right size for what I want it. Beings its manual you need a lot of strength to use it, but its not impossible. There's is nothing like fresh pressed juice. It's not that big so it doesn't take up a lot of space when you store it.

My son helped me do the blueberry juice for winemaking. It takes a bit of patience to put this unit together. It is totally worth the cost and effort. I look forward to years of use. Blackberries are next

I like how easy is to use and easy to clean. To set it up it takes some time. But after that it's easy to use.

Looks great but didn’t include the wrench as stated in the instructions nor the grease.

I just used it today to press apples for cider. It worked well and did exactly what it's meant to do. Cleanup was easy. I'd recommend having two people use it at once: one to hold the unit down and the other to crank the handle. Or bolt it to something super solid and have a field day solo. My only criticism is that I was hoping to get a bit more juice out of the apples, but the amount I got may be standard for this kind of unit as far as I know

Instructions were vague at some points during assembly.

Does it work? Yes.Is it perfect? No.Is it cheap? Fairly. Is it cheaply made? Not too bad.Is it sturdy? Seems to be.Am I satisfied? Yes.Will you be? Heck if I know! After reading some of the reviews on here, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Missing parts? Hours of assembly? I was pleasantly surprised by what I found when I opened the box. The parts seem reasonably well made. The metal parts are solid, the wood parts are clean, straight, and sturdy. Yes, I had to put it together. Took my wife and I ab…out 20 minutes, taking our time. There aren’t many parts, so the fact that they’re not well identified isn’t too much of an issue. If you’ve ever put anything mechanical together, it’ll be pretty much intuitive anyway. Mine was missing a washer, but that’s easy enough to source. I took the time to wax the threaded rod to both lubricate and protect it.I tried using the press for the first time today. It does the job. There are certainly things I would change about it. As others have noted, the channel in the base is pretty shallow and overflows easily. This is exacerbated by the fact that the bottom of the drain spout is angled slightly UP instead of down. I solved both problems by propping the press up at the back with a block of wood, and pressing slowly. The legs chewed up my countertop a bit. I’ll add some wooden or rubber feet before I use it again. My attitude is that I got what I paid for. There are far more expensive presses out there. I saved some money, and expected to have a little more hassle because of it. Overall, I’m not at all disappointed, and I would gladly buy this again if I needed another one.

Not to sturdy. Had to food process apple to make juice. It wouldn't squeeze the whole fruit.
