He admits that the first two have been well-plumbed in existing books, then lasers in on the third. Been bartending for yearsss and I always tell people bartending isn’t that hard. Don’t be flustered by the numbers of cocktails. All you need is to learn the techniques n the bases. This book has you covered. The rest is really up to you lol the personality side but having knowledge to the craft gives you some respect as a start. This is more of a technique book.

This book covers every aspect of bartending the home-bartender needs to know, and a lot of stuff he didn't know was interesting. And it's beautifully written, every sentence is clear and concise. If you buy just one book about mixology, this should be it.

I ordered this for a Christmas present. I looked through the book when it arrived. It is interesting and educational. The only problem I had was finding recipes. You can find some in the index if you know what you are looking for.My daughter is learning from the book. I went back and ordered the card recipe item for easy reference to mix drinks. Together they make a great present.

This is an awesome book for your shelves if you are setting up a home bar and want to learn the ins and outs of bartending for date nights, casual hangouts with friends, or big gatherings. This book will help you make a cool drink and ensure you look cool doing it, or, barring that, at least look competent. If you own any book on bartending own this one. The author is quite knowledgeable and pretty soon you'll be making your own syrups and sophisticated concoctions to the delight of your friend
