I have a variety of growlers which I regularly use for various fermented beverages, which I make in my home kitchen. While these delicious beverages are quite fun to make, and share with others, they also can be very difficult to contain, and to capture the carbon dioxide produced in fermentation. In fact, I have literally had explosions in my kitchen, when a vessel was not strong enough to contain the exuberance! So because I was in need of several more when making a large batch of ginger beer… for a conference, I went ahead and bought four of these to try out. They are in fact, wonderful containers, easy to use, easy to clean, and they don’t break or explode. Definitely a good value in my book, and I plan to purchase more.

Will keep beer fresh for a week in the fridge.

These are so nice! The store the beer perfectly with a lovely seal. Easy to open and close. And they look so nice! Recommend!

So I wanted to get away from glass bottles because I recently had one explode on me for several reasons. I wanted to try this product to see if I could get carbonation. Last night I bottled my water Kefir and placed in the fridge. This was the second day of the second fermentation. This morning when I checked the bottle CO2 escaped when I opened it up. GOOD SIGN. I will check the bottle once a day since keeping it cool tends to slow down active fermentation. The seal is good and tight. I… just ordered a second bottle.
