Shepherd Made Mead Making Kit (Mead-Kit), Multicolored

Arrived quick, in great condition

This is my first time brewing mead. Found a recipe online; did not follow manufacturer recipe. The directions should mention that you need to add water to the airlock. I stared at my dry airlock for hours wondering why it didn’t move or bubble. Then I did my research. Seems like it should’ve been obvious to add water, but I am new to this. So for other newbies, add water or it could explode! I did order a second one of these kits so I can get another batch started

Came as described, all of the basics needed for making some homemade mead. Simple instructions, great results!

I got the kit and the bubbler was intact. Some reviews had said theirs was cracked but mine was fine. I sanitized everything with sanistar and as I put the stopper in I pushed too hard and it's in the mix now. It was sanitized so hopefully it won't hurt. I had to drill a hole in the metal cap that came with the carboy and use that for the bubbler instead. Hopefully I didn't mess up and it all works out. If it doesn't it's not the products fault. It was great.

I bought the Shepherd Made Mead Making Kit (Mead-Kit), Multicolored for a family member. They said it worked for their moonshine.

Everything seems to be working fine. I would give 5 stars but I’m not sure yet how well it will work. The instructions didn’t include adding yeast nutrients. Also, the “burping plug” cracked on the first install. Perhaps need to make this more heavy duty…

Came with everything EXCEPT the air lock, kind of a big deal.. pretty pissed off i have to order another one.
