Rubbermaid Easy Release Ice Cube Tray (4-Pack)

If I had a nickel for very ice cube tray that claimed cubes pop right out with an easy twist (but didn’t), I would use them to buy these every time. Rubbermaid means what it says so long as you do not overfill. My hands say thanks, Rubbermaid!

These will be the ONLY ice cube trays you ever buy again!!!! They are awesome and the ice pops right out. I’ve bought 4 different kinds of “easy release” trays in the past year, and they wound up trapping the ice, breaking, making me yell profanities and just throwing them away! The Rubbermaid trays are worth the money. They’re perfectly stackable and the ice pops out in a half a second. Five stars and two thumbs up!

The material is flexible and there is no more crushed ice in my bin, just cubes. Well, slender semi-circles, but thinner. Semi-ovals? You need to be careful when filling them—too fast and water shoots over the side.

The cubes slide out easily and don’t shatter into chunks when twisting product to loosen the cubes.

After my 5th portable ice maker broke shortly after the warranty expired, I had enough. These ice cube trays work, and work wonderfully well. I discovered that 400ml is the perfect amount to fill the trays. Pour it in the middle and rock the tray back and forth. My only suggestion to the mfg is to lower the ribs slightly to allow the water to flow to the end on it's own. Easy to release, nice size cubes, and stack nicely.

Bought the cheap ones, they crack, they have to be aligned right to stack, these are easy, last a long time, do not crack easily and worth the extra cost in the long run.

Other trays with silicone bottoms, and lids, and fancy features... completely unnecessary. These are the best ice cube trays humans can design. They stack well and stably, and it's SO easy to just twist and make the ice fall out. Nothing else needs to exist. Buy these.
