I use this for steeping loose tea in my mug. It works very well. Because the mesh is so fine, it's a bit hard to clean, so I let it soak awhile before I clean it.

The sturdy mesh is fine enough to strain the skins off of black mustard seeds without clogging.

I had bought this in 2014. I use it a LOT. It's a very fine strainer, PLUS it fits perfectly down into a canning funnel, when I want to strain something into a canning jar. Like, I've making coconut milk from dessicated coconut in the blender (there are recipes online), which I pour through this strainer (no need for a coffee filter or any other filter, this strainer is fine enough) inside a 2-1/8" bottom canning funnel (fits both wide and regular-mouth canning jars). When I wash the strain…er, I use a small brush. It's a great strainer.
