Pretty much does what it says in the description. Not meant for laying your bottles down. But overall it keeps a good seal when it is closed and pours well when it is open.

So we had a DIY Sangria Bar, and these worked perfect. Everyone was to put in their own fruit, Sangria Mix (that we had made from Monin Syrups ahead of time and put in a 50 ounce plastic carafe for easy travel, in the cooler), and then their wine. We used these and they sealed great, and we had no problem with them, lever is easy to use with your thumb, and it was easy to pour into our glasses. Very happy with them, for the price and quality. We did not keep them stored for a long time, so I ca…nnot answer that, but they did seal well overnight in the fridge, for whites, and counter for reds,
