Much better than I expected..........quite attractive and the top fits so well.........the tea bags that are floating stay floating and only the iced tea comes out. Fits well in the fridge and I am more than delighted with my reasonable purchase.

I have not used on the stovetop. I make my tea in an electric kettle and can pour boiling water ,212 degrees , directly in this pitcher. The diamond design is as beautiful as the pitcher is functional.

I chose this pitcher because I needed one with a cover, and this promised to be attractive as well. It's beautiful! Elegant design, sparking glass. The handle is well balanced; I have no trouble maneuvering the pitcher in and out of my fridge even when it's full. The cover fits snugly but is also easy to remove. I had been keeping a two-quart pitcher in my fridge's door, and when it was full and I closed the door, the liquid would often slop out. This pitcher totally solves that problem. I'll n…ever need to use it directly on my stovetop, but I do foresee using it for hot chocolate and coffee. The cleaning brush is well made, too--a nice extra!

It takes boiling water and doesn't break. Very useful for making ice tea. I use this daily and now purchasing a second one to keep up with the ice tea drinkers in family. Would highly recommend!
