Piña Barware Stainless Steel Commercial Julep Cocktail Bar Strainer

Great quality, good pricing and design.

Just got this last week, it’s gorgeous, sleek and solid, almost feels and looks like a surgical instrument! Functional too, have pressed it into service making Old Fashioneds to break the seal. Will probably get the Hawthorne version of this strainer having handled this one. A worthy and stylish addition to my bar tending tool kit!

*** UPDATE***I recently received both this and a Hawthorne strainer from Justin at Piña, because of the issues I had with my previous strainers. I waited a couple of months to update my review because I wanted to give them a good through testing before I revised my review.These are great! The quality of the strainer is SOLID. It is now a joy to use and easily my favorite Julep that I own. The ONLY thing I would change would be to counter-weight the handle so that it isn’t top heavy and doesn’t… tip over your mixing glass/tin/bar tool storage container.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••I literally JUST received these strainers (also purchased the Hawthorne), and when I opened the box the strainer rattled, took a quick look to see of the head was loose (like it was on the Hawthorne) and the handle cover slipped right off into my hand. Also, this NOT balanced, and is top heavy.

This is a great strainer. Very good quality. But let me tell you just how great the customer service is at Pina Barware. When the Julep strainer arrived, the stainless sheath/cover on the handle slid off the handle structure. I contacted Justin with Pina Barware who indicated that he had never seen this defect before and would immediately send a replacement strainer. Three days later I received a package including, not only the replacement Julep strainer, but also the Pina Founder's Tin sh…aker set, a Hawthorne strainer, a jigger, and a carrying case! It's very clear that Pina takes their brand reputation very seriously. They got a faithful repeat customer in me!
