Peugeot Clef du Vin Wine Tool, stainless

I purchased this as a gift, had it personalized, and she love it.

On our cruise the sommelier demonstrated this tool, so we bought one for home. It does smooth the taste of wines but not a “magic cure” for harsh flavors. We use it almost every pour.

Really improves the taste of wines.

I was very skeptical at first but during the week when you are in the $10 to $20 wine price range from Costco you get winners and losers. It really can mellow out one of those mouth-cringing wines. It's not going to make it taste like a $60+ bottle but at least it does not have to go down the rain. It mellows out the taste. For more expensive wines I find letting them air is better than the tool. The tool has a tendency to flatten out the taste too much. It is worth the cost and a fun thin…g to play with - and an excuse to drink more wine.

The alloy in this toy rapidly accelerates natural oxidation in wine. A few seconds in a glass and presto - it's like the glass was sitting out for twenty minutes!Talk of "Aging" is marketing nonsense. Nothing can substitute for decades of time in a cask in a cellar.This product is still fantastically useful and an excellent gift for improving poor quality wine in seconds.

I call it the Magic Wand. it truly changes wines. but the result is not necessarily explosive if you do not use it carefully. My $18 wine started tasting like a $60 wine!! and you do not even need to air the winePour,Stir,Sip!WOW! what a result!!This becomes a great conversation piece.I bought two more to give away as gifts.

I was veryyy skeptical, But being it was a Christmas gift for the wife I said why not. It came and we did a little taste test and what do you know, it works. Not sure how to explain, but seems to just make it smoother and easier to drink.

Placing either the full sized or the travel size in a glass of wine for 1 second adds a year of aging, per their notes. It’s been an interesting experiment to see what changes from each second that’s added.
