They are small enough and strong enough to jab and break up ice.

These are well worth the money. Their teeth really do grip an ice cube—one or two at a time, depending on size. Very effective to use in front of guests (instead of hands.).

This pair of ice tongs is the perfect size for the ice bucket that I use while entertaining. The end of the tongs have teeth on them, so they really grab on to the ice. Great quality!
