My grandsons love to make crushed ice for our drinks with this set. We use smaller ice cubes and put the filled bag on a butcher block and let them pound away. After several sessions there was a hole in the bag -- that's when we changed to smaller ice cubes -- the big ones were harder to break up. The scoop and tongs are kind of unnecessary but were an extra with this.

Do simple yet so affective. Does not take up counter space as an ice machine does. You have many options for the size of your ice cubes. Unlike a machine. I hang the canvas bag on a hook to dry until I need to use. The wood mallet is well made. Saves lots of money without the expense of a machine. No electricity needed. Just hand power. I will buy another to have on hand. The canvas bag is also quality made.

It does the job that I bought it for. I use the bag and mallet for breaking up large ice cubes before I put the ice into a blender to make smoothies. Very handy, no mess.

Great buy for the money. It will be great for woodworking and chisel work. Now it does have some cosmetic damage upon opening the package, but I don't care. For the price it will be perfect for me.
