I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this cork remover. In my 30 years of enjoying wine, I’ve only ever used a traditional cork screw. But as my collection ages so do the corks and this tool, so far, has worked perfectly.

High quality product, made with high quality materials. I didn't find the operational learning curve to be steep, opened a bottle with the first attempt, just be gentle. Very pleased with the purchase/product.

This cork remover works smoothly. It’s compact and well crafted

Very high West German quality, as expected. Not recommended for synthetic rubberlike corks that might be found on a recent Sav Blanc or Chardonnay. Also on new corks it may be just as easy to use the traditional screw type wine corker. However, on an older vintage red, particularly where you might be worried about a cork crumbling this is the device. Edge in in by gently moving to and from the prongs. When its inserted fully a gentle and continuous twist removes the cork. A fine edition t…o the bar set.

I prefere this opener to the conventional screw type. I have one of these in both of my homes, and now have one I take with me traveling.
