Great fit, love the light

I needed this because I was tired of ashes flying back in my face and getting all over my clothes. (Smokers will understand)It’s build great, looks slick and has a handy light for night rides.Totally recommend this.

The little included light is a nice touch - what a fancy ashtray! I actually have kept this on my patio so guests have a place to keep their cigarette butts. It works well and seals the smell away.

It looks classy. The external ABS coupled with ceramic liner and metal cigarette holder makes this a very sturdy car ashtray. The lid is removable making the unit easy to clean.The light is good specially at night to guide you where to flick your ashes and cigarette butts. Seals the smell well. Closing the lid will eventually extinguish the cigarette.Battery is probably located under the lid. Will find out once it stops working. Or not. It would have been great if this was rechargable.Still som…ethigna smoker needs in the car.

As so many vehicles don't come with ashtrays anymore, I have wondered if this has been the cause of some forest fires. Even if you buy a car second hand or even a new one, and you are a smoker or have a friend who is, it is a good idea to have an ashtray like this one in your car.This one works well. It could be a little heavier to avoid getting knocked over if you bring it to a picnic or have it on a table.

HERE'S WHAT YOU WANT (OR NEED) TO KNOW:1) Pretty much looks and works just as you would expect, it has a very sturdy weight to it, mainly due to the ceramic interior - which by the way I don't think is removeable from the plastic. The lid DOES come off however. The weight is just right, any lighter and I would worry about it tipping over easily, especially when the lid is open since it would become lopsided and top heavy. The ceramic works both as protection and as a weighted base.2) I didn't r…ealize this unit came with an LED light under the lid. It seems to change/alternate colors too. Mine started on blue and changed to (red?) I didn't bother leaving it open and waiting to see what other colors (if any) it transitions to. At first I thought of it as an unnecessary feature, one that I couldn't bother to maintain and charge. However, after a little more thought and consideration I realized it was a very clever design feature, not only because of the cool colors mixed with the smoke, but because at night time it may be difficult find the cup to ash. Having the lid open offers just enough light to ash or butt your cigarette. I plan to use this outdoors in the backyard (during the warmer climate season) so it's a very useful feature to have.3) I couldn't seem to find any charging port (if any) and no charging cable was included with this unit - which leads me to believe that it may run on a button cell battery(?) - NOT VERIFIED. If so, Installation/extraction of said battery(?) is likely accessed through the underside of the lid where you'll find several screws. Once again, this hasn't been verified.4) You know, a built in battery with a clear charging port (+ cover) would have been appreciated with this particular unit, especially since one of the (main) intended purpose is to have it installed in the cup holder of your vehicle. Having a charging port would've been convenient and great, so you can charge it on the fly and not have to deal with this mess.5) Assuming it doesn't come with a charging port and built in battery - there's definitely no cable included in the packaging - I would think this product is slightly overpriced. Although well made and durable, I would think pricing it within the "teens" would be more appropriate and suitable.
