I didn't even know what lewis bag was until i wanted to make mint juleps. I turned it inside out and put it in the washing machine before using. Thick durable canvas. I smashed up some ice using the flat side of a steel meat tenderizer. Filled with crushed ice I grabbed what i needed and put the bag in the freezer still full of crushed ice for next time.

Gave this as a gift for Christmas. It was very well received (we watched the unwrapping) and he seemed very pleased with this! Part of a few things he asked for to redesign his dining room bar setup.

This did the job and high quality material

The Lewis Bag is a huge step up from my usual routine of crushing ice in a heavy duty plastic zipped bag. The plastic bag breaks every single time, a waste of a bag and then ice spills out on the counter. I knew there had to be a better way. The blender I thought would be ideal, but it always left me with ‘ice fluff’ and absolutely whole cubes and very little in between. The Lewis Bag is strong and sturdy, perfect for crushing ice. It’s easy to pour out cracked ice. I wish there were a l…arger version for bigger batches, but it’s easy to pour out refill with cubes for a second or third batch. Game changer!

I had another Lewis bag, but that one was a little small so I bought this one. It’s not huge, but better sized for a couple of drinks. Seems well made like it will last 20 years. Will confirm in 2043–haha!

This is a well made bag. The material is thick and tough, but soft enough to conform to the ice with a little bit of work with your hands. That way I can chase down those annoying uncrushed ice cubes with a chisel mallet, resulting in more uniform crushed ice than I have had before. It has a handy corner loop that you can hang the bag to dry with. This Lewis Bag makes my other Lewis bags look incredibly cheap, thin and silly by comparison.

Used it probably 10 times over the past few months. Works great!

Heavy duty canvass! This bag does an excellent jobI really like the attached loop so you can hang it up to air dry.

Second Lewis bag and cannot live without. The quality of a drink is the quality of the ice. Will never be without.
