I’m very happy with this purchase so far. The glass is very solid and simply beautiful. I haven’t tried hot liquids yet, but it works well for fresh iced lemon water to drink during the day. May purchase another one if it holds up!

3rd one I've purchased (got the smaller one years ago) so this time got 2 of the larger for holding tap water to let it 'age' and outgas funky dirt smell for a day before pouring it in our big counter water pitcher with a tap.Don't be deceived by the thin and lightweight glass. These thing are tough and not as fragile as they appear. No the handle won't break! it's Borosilicate glass. You still need to take the same precautions as you would would regular glass and do not submit it to rapid, ext…reme temperature changes. Common sense, it's not a stainless steel pot!

This water jar is very thin and light, but it's very strong and beautiful and has a large capacity! I have beentested with hot water, not cracked, it's wonderful!

I am careful not to bump it and no extreme temperature changes, and i don't use on heat over med high. This is a great size for the family and simplifies making tea.

Love this as it thin enough to fit nicely on the shelf, holds plenty and stains well while being pretty enough to serve for casual.

I love the beauty of this pitcher. It is even more beautiful when you hold it in your hands then you could ever imagine from the pictures on this website.

I have had this for six months and use it for iced tea. It works well for my purposes. I fill it halfway up with cold water and then carefully add a small pot of white or green or herbal tea that has been steeping for 3-7 minutes (in other words, the water has had time to cool slightly and isn't boiling). The handle is well-balanced, and I find this pitcher a lot easier to pour with one hand than some others. I took off a star because I find it difficult to clean. Yes, I can get my medium-…sized hand inside, but there's not much space for wrist movement despite what the photos seem to show. This makes using a sponge on the upper, curved sides difficult. Most bottle brushes don't work because they are too long. I have had the best luck with a shorter bottle brush that has long soft bristles along one side rather than the bottom.

We have had this since March, it seemed nice and similar to the smaller pitcher, just not as substantial-feeling, due to its size. Unfortunately, did not register the warranty, and sure enough, a hole opened on the bottom.Still miss it.
