I had a flame thrower from HFT that wasn't working too well. It operated on full pressure from a 20# propane tank. I found that mud wasps had clogged up the plumbing in the handle. Once that was cleaned out it would put out a high flame for only about 2 seconds then the flame output would dwindle to almost nothing. It was determined that the fitting that fastened to the propane tank was somehow restricting the gas flow. After replacing the fitting with a new one, I got huge blast for abou…t 10 seconds, but then the hose blew up, and I almost incinerated about half a city block. Yikes! There has to be a happy medium somehow. I figured that 30# pressure would likely work well on this blaster, but wasn't sure if this regulator would allow enough volume to supply a sufficient flow of gas. Wow! I plugged this in and the original blaster hose fit the regulator output perfectly. Upon testing, it was discovered that this was a good set up for my equipment. Whew! Maybe I should get myself a hot air balloon?Oops. This review was for a different regulator. This regulator was purchased for my gas grill. The existing regulator was restricting the gas flow and couldn’t even get the temperature up to 300 degrees F. This replacement worked so well, it was like getting a new grill. Sweet! The regulator I bought for replacement on my flame thrower has an adjustable 0-30 psi control knob.

I got a broken Lynx grill for free and did not want to invest much money into it. I was not able to get it lit, and after checking the other piping and valves, I suspected the regulator may have gone bad over time. I purchased this one and paired it with a fresh propane tank. The grill fired right up and got as hot as it needed to be. For the price, this can't be beat. Not even the big box stores could sell you a regulator at this price!
