Great gadget to have if you want to know the temperature and humidity inside your house at any time. Highly recommended!

The place I work for is required to have 2 units of this with a valid calibration certificate.Instead of sending our olds to a calibration facility, we are just buying 2 every year and it is cost saving than having calibrated.

Yes, it is more than twice the price of so many cheap digital thermometers with hygrometers... BUT, these are incredibly accurate when compared to the el cheapos. I discovered this product because it is what Taylor Guitars uses at their factory to ensure their expensive tone woods are kept at the correct climate for storage and building their instruments. Well worth the extra $20 or so for a RELIABLE HYGROMETER! Highly recommended!

I live in South Florida, 3 miles from the beach. Between the heat, humidity and the salt in the air, this location is very hard on things. The thermometer is outside on my front porch and it still works and has great battery life. It is accurate enough for my use. I like things that last...

This was the fourth sensor that I bought and the only one that actually works. Many of the cheaper sensors are lying about the accuracy. Based on some basic testing this one seems to work

I found this Extech Hygrometer to be a Very Accurate unit. I see many negative reviews about calibrating it but I feel the user is not implementing the proper setup technique for calibrating this device. The Humidity Calibration Trim-pot is designed to set the Upper Limit of the Span.Place the Sensor in a known 100% Humidity Environment. To accomplish this I placed a wet paper towel in the bottom of a jar then inserted the Sensor high in the jar and sealed the jar with Duct Tape. Holding a stea…dy room temperature wait an hour or so for the Sensor to acclimate, then adjust the Trim-pot to read 99%. It worked well for me. Very Accurate.
