works awesome,does the job well,
Excellent. Many reviewers commented that the screen isn't tight enough to take out fine sediments. Standard wine decanting procedure calls for a double layer of cheese cloth lining the funnel so no metal screen is needed. The purpose of the cheese cloth or the screen for that matter is not designed to catch wine sediment but loose cork bits when the cork often crumbles with an older wine. The better and more proper way to decant is to stand up the wine for a couple of days and decant through th…e cheese cloth with a light source right under the neck as the wine goes into the decanter. Once the bulk of the sediment is visible and about to enter the decanting, quit pouring. You will have about an ounce or so of wine left in the bottle and perfectly clear wine in the decanter. The cheese cloth or screen will help you will the cork bits. Of course this has to be done carefully on one continuous pour and not interrupted. Otherwise tell sediment at the bottom of the bottle gradually moving to the neck would be all mixed into the clear wine. This is not difficult but take a little dexterity and practice. Just pouring a bottle of wine with wine sediment into a decanter by just relying on a tight or fine filter doesn't work. A tight filter will cause the wine to run or drip slowly into the decanter exposing a wine (especially an old one) to too much air. A filter loose enough to let the wine run. Through in a reasonable about of time would leave the wine still cloudy because the finest will pass through. Use this as it is designed to do and decant properly and traditionally will work perfectly.
I love my wine, but sometimes you get parts of the cork. This is a great idea to filter that out as well as clear out the sediment at the bottom of some bottles of red that don't need to get into our glass. bought one for us & one as a gift for a fellow wine lover!
The product is made of stainless steel and is perfect for filtering unfiltered wine!🍷
The wine decanting filter is working very well for straining kombucha. We like having it on its own stand and made of stainless steel. If the funnel itself was larger it would work better for kombucha but it clearly states it is for wine. Just the same, it does the trick!
Looks good works great. Perfect all the way around.
Very good product and I love the stylish nature of it. I'm new to wine making and this is a good addition to my supplies. The filter works well, getting a lot of the little dregs I've had so my poured wine is much clearer than before. A good deal for the price too.
Love it. We had a taste test with friends and all of us picked the glass of wine we liked best where we used this gaget! Worth the purchase for sure!
Exactly as described. Are perfect for my wine decanters for my restaurant.
I use this to strain bacon fat into a mason jar so I can reuse the fat without all the burned bits. Works like a charm!!!
