CucinaPrime Cocktail Shaker Set 16 Ounce Glass and 30 Ounce Stainless Steel Cup, 2 Piece Set

When my son moved out, he took all his cocktail stuff with him so I had to buy my husband some new things. I ordered this and it is perfect, just what he wanted and it works great!Arrived promptly and in excellent condition.

I bought this because the mixing glass from my treasured old "Boston shaker" set got broken. The CucinaPrime has three advantages and one disadvantage compared to what I was using. Advantages: the metal cup is stainless steel instead of shiny chrome; it is bottom-weighted; the glass is heavier. Disadvantage: it doesn't have measurement markings (and some drink recipes) printed on it like my old glass, so I have to use a separate shot glass. Overall, though, I'm very pleased.

I thought this was inferior option to the double tin shakers but I was wrong. The shaking glass is sturdy and heavy and really easy to clean. The tin is large enough to securely place the shaking glass but narrow enough to comfortably place the glass at a reasonable depth instead of going in too deep and making it awkward to hold while shaking. This set does not leak and makes a tight seal ensuring you can shake securely without worrying about your tin flying open and making a mess.

It's a simple shaker, none of these gimmicky bells and whistles like an integrated muddling system. It's a tin and a glass just what I personally needed.

This shaker is simple and does the job. The seal is sometimes a little bit tight, which requires a light tap at an angle on the corner of the kitchen table, but this is typical with most glass/metal shakers.
