I have and older one that I love but this one is a little easier to line up but the best improve is getting the cork off. It screws it off….so easy where the other was soooo hard, yay!
What a great gift to your favorite sommelier.. Cuts the foil and removes the cork with zero work
I have used a lot of wine uncorking devices, and this is the we easiest, once you get past the small learning curve. The key to using this device is to NOT put downward pressure on the device while opening the bottle (this may cause the bottle to explode). I know that this is counter intuitive with most bottle openers, but this one uses CO2 to create the pressure inside the bottle to pop the cork out. Very impressive.
Ok, so it’s not exactly a cork screw, actually it’s much better! The needle doesn’t cause brittle corks to break off into your wine bottle and even those dry corks come out, easily and in tact! It’s awesome and makes a great little gift for wine connoisseurs.
Mine just broke after like 10 plus years. The cutter part of the plastic finally gave way. Getting another one
Great wine opener.Definitely a conversation piece.Just give the button a short tap
I had this in a drawer for years before I used it. After all my other corkscrews broke I was forced to try it. Good thing I did. Hints:1) When using the peeling feature don't push down the opener. Just hold it so the needle just barely touches the top of the bottle then squeeze 'up' on the opener. The cutter will circumnavigate the very top of the bottle and remove the film2) Press the needle down firmly into the bottle's cork withOUT untwisting the opener. Untwisting the opener is ONLY for rem…oving the cork AFTER it is removed.Once I learned the tricks this thing works great. I won't use any other opener from here on out
On my second one after the first one lasted over 10 years and lots of wine bottles. (I broke it by mistake). Raises eyebrows when you have company at home given how slick it is. In fact, I’ve gifted it a couple of times in Xmas to friends. Highly recommended.
I purchased as a gift, I have one that is about 7 or 8 years old, rubber on handle starting to deteriorate (kind of stickler), but works as if new. Cartridges last a long time and has only failed to get a plastic cork out once and is better than a cork screw on older degraded corks.
Very easy to use.
