Updated to 5 starsI used 7/8 in forstner bit for the inner hole. Shows more wood than I would like, but I don't think it will affect actually opening a bottle. It now gives me plenty of wood for the screws to bite into. For the price, these can't be beat. Only wish is that the inner hole could be drilled bigger. Purchased these because the other versions I buy from my local woodworking stores cost anywhere from $5 to $10 each. Figured I'd give these a shot even though, at the time, there we…re no reviews.Pros:1) they are good quality, sturdy stainless steel2) all the holes were countersunk3) they are just as described, so I can't ding them for not being like the others I have purchased from other woodworking stores (better quality and simpler to use)Cons:1) biggest complaint is that bottle opener hole vs screw holes was pretty close (didn't give much room to "bite" into wood. I believe these bottle openers are metric (I don't have metric forstner bits).2) the description did not say which size forstner bits to use3) screws are okay. I stripped my first set of screws, but I countersunk my next set and had not issues following that.I used 1 inch (inner hole) and 1 5/8 (outer hole) forstner bits, which worked fine. The screws had some wood to bite into (note that I did not say "plenty" of wood as it is very close to tear out and in fact, some did tear out). This left the bottle opener with a little play in the larger hole, with some wood shown in the bottle opener portion.Bottom line, I would purchase again, if only that these are less than $.50 each. If you have metric forstner bits, I think they would be even better.

Very impressed with this product. Received the exact quantity as specified. The screws are really small, and some broke as we were installing them in a hard wood without pre-drilling at first. However, was pleased that they had included several extra screws and had many left over. If you are counter-sinking the product, you will need a 1-9/16" drill bit.
