Sturdy enough to work.

I gifted this to my friend along with a large ice maker. They need to keep a surplus of ice for parties, but more importantly, to keep their hobby farm animals cooler (through their drinking water) during the heat waves. These bags will create a surplus in their large freezer or ice chests as needed. These bags had better ratings for durability than other bags. Unless I hear differently from my friends, I assume the bags are working out.
