The bright and refreshing watermelon gin cocktail is the perfect drink for a hot summer’s day. The mild astringency of Aperol balances out any sweetness in this combo, while lemon juice keeps it flavorful without being too heavy on your tongue!
Club soda adds just enough fizziness to make everything come alive.
Ingredients
- 2 chunks Fresh watermelon, cut in 2″x1″ plus wedges for garnish
1 oz. Gin
3⁄4 oz. Aperol
3⁄4 oz. Lemon juice
1 oz. Club soda
3⁄4 oz. Simple syrup
Directions
Muddle the watermelon chunks and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
Add the remaining ingredients, and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well.
Strain over into a glass with ice.
Garnish with a wedge of watermelon.
