Ingredients

1 oz. Rye whiskey

1 oz. Cognac

1 tsp Orange curaçao liqueur

1 tsp Simple syrup

1 dash Absinthe
-
2 dashes Aromatic bitters

1 to 2 oz. Club soda

Lemon twist, for garnish
Directions
Pour the rye whiskey, cognac, curaçao liqueur, simple syrup, absinthe, and bitters in an ice-filled mixing glass.
Stir well until chilled.
Strain into an ice-filled chilled old-fashioned glass.
Top with club soda to taste. Use 1 to 2 ounces based on your preference.
Garnish with a lemon twist. Serve and enjoy.
Recipe Note
Despite the name, it might not be a wise idea to drink this in the morning; or if you really insist, make sure that you have no plans for the day. It is strong enough in both punch and flavor that it makes cocktails like Bloody Mary seem light.
