This limoncello cocktail is a twist on the Mojito, a popular cocktail from Havana, Cuba! This extremely strong lemon liqueur is frequently consumed as shots at the end of a meal. The limoncello offers a pure lemon flavor that lemon juice alone cannot provide.
Ingredients
- 3 Mint leaves, plus more for garnish
1 oz. Lime juice
½ oz. Simple syrup
1 oz. Limoncello
1 oz. White rum
- 4 oz. Soda water
- Ice, for serving
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice and syrup.
- Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice and add the limoncello and rum.
- Shake until completely cold.
- Fill an ice-filled hurricane or highball glass halfway with ice, then strain in the liquid.
Fill the glass halfway with soda water.
- Garnish with extra mint leaves if desired.
