Hot Gold Apple Cider
Do you know the perfect way to end a cold night? Rum, of course! This recipe is best made during windy and stormy fall evenings when you want something warm.
The warming effects from combining rum with Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps mixed in apple cider will make it feel like Christmas morning as soon as that liquid hits your mouth - not to mention all those delicious snacks are just waiting for us on top of our cupboards.
Combine all the ingredients in a large cooking pot.
Slowly bring to a boil using medium-high heat. Stir continuously to incorporate all the flavors.
Lower the heat and simmer for 1 to 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Transfer the mixture to a large insulated punch bowl and serve.
When making this recipe for a varying number of people, you can easily adjust the recipe and scale it upwards or downwards. Just remember to retain the ratios of the three liquid ingredients. If you want to give it more kick, you can add a little more rum or Goldschlager, depending on your preference.
