Directions

To make the Blood Orange-Habanero Puree:

1. Mix the blood orange juice and habanero pepper in a medium saucepan.

2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
3. Reduce the heat to medium-high and cook, frequently stirring, until the mixture thickens into a syrup.
4. Allow the pepper to cool before bottling.

To make the Habanero Blood Orange Margarita:

1. Dip half of the rim of a cocktail glass in mole negro.

2. Reduce the heat to medium-high, and cook until the mixture thickens into a syrup.
3. Load with ice and vigorously shake.
4. Pour into prepared glass.
5. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
