Gin and sparkling wine go together like bread and butter, but if you want to take your drink up a notch on the defendant side—intellectuals recommend French 75. The name comes from an old field gun used by France during World War 1 - it’s awesome!

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice cubes, gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Shake until all ingredients are mixed.
  2. Pour the drink into a champagne flute.
  3. Top it with the champagne of your choice.
  4. Garnish with lemon or orange twist. Enjoy!
