The Cape Codder is the perfect cocktail for any hot day because it is light, refreshing, and easy to drink. With only two ingredients, this makes it an excellent mixer for those not into alcoholic drinks or who prefer something lighter than beer.

Ingredients

2 oz. Vodka
3 oz. Cranberry juice
Lime wedge for garnish

Directions

Fill a highball glass with ice.
Add vodka and cranberry juice.
Stir gently to combine ingredients, garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.

Recipe Note

Cape Codder was invented by Ocean Spray in the 1940s as a way to encourage more people to purchase their products. At that time, it was called "Red Devil," but stories suggest this started at bars on Cape Cod during the summer months.
