Cocktail Recipe
The Alabama Slammer cocktail is a drink invented in the 1970s, and it has been popular ever since. It is whiskey-based, with orange juice and gin, and some Amaretto liqueur to give it an appealing orange color. The Alabama Slammer Cocktail can be served either on ice or without ice.
Ingredients
1 oz. Southern Comfort
1 oz. Sloe gin
1 oz. Amaretto liqueur
2 oz. Fresh orange juice
Orange wedge for garnish
Directions
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
Strain the drink into a highball glass over crushed ice or serve up in a cocktail glass without ice, depending on preference.
