1. Kisses From The Pear
Our first featured cocktail is a creation from Robert's BarKultur @roberts_barkultur of Berlin, Germany. His regular offerings of recipes via his Instagram and Facebook page have made him one of the reputable sources of cocktail inspiration.
“Kisses From The Pear ” is a marvelous creation that centers on the sweet and juicy nuances of pear combined with the peppery flavor of rye whiskey and ginger syrup. On top of that is the citrusy splash of lime and orange bitters , resulting in a rather perfect mix to serve along with appetizers after a luscious meal.
Ingredients
- 1.2 oz. Rye whiskey
- 1 oz. Pear liqueur
- 1 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz. Ginger syrup
- 1 dash Aquavit
- 1 dash Orange bitters
Steps to Make
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker .
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake for about 10 seconds.
- Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into a tumbler glass.
2. Baby Yoda Cocktail
Too cute, this cocktail is! You don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate this drink, mainly because anything Baby Yoda-related is adorbs.
This genius Baby Yoda cocktail is credited to Brian Heavy Muddle Mixology @heavymuddle , and one needs not to summon the Force to recreate it at home. It’s based on the classic Midori Sour but with added ingredients, such as sesame oil washed Midori, lime, and banana oleo saccharum .
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Midori (washed with sesame oil)
- 1 oz. Vodka
- 1/2 oz. Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 ounce Lime juice, freshly squeezed
- Banana oleo saccharum
- Top: Soda water
- Garnish: Lemon wheel
Steps to Make
- Add the Midori, vodka, banana saccharum, lemon and lime juices to a coupe glass with a bit of crushed ice.
- Stir to combine, then top with soda water.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel.
- Add the Baby Yoda accessories.
3. Two Chicks Cocktails
Two Chicks Cocktails are sparkling ready-to-drink true canned cocktails. They’re made with real premium spirits — tequila, vodka, whiskey, and gin — and all-natural fruit and botanicals. Two Chicks Cocktails has six available natural flavors, namely: Citrus Margarita, Vodka Fizz, Paloma, Vodka CuTea, New Fashioned, and Apple Gimlet.
Two Chicks Cocktails are a great alternative if you want to serve cocktails but don’t have time to go through the elaborate preparations. It’s like the real thing! And here’s the proof: below is the recipe for an Apple Business Cocktail which is recreated using the Two Chicks Sparkling Apple Gimlet.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. of dry gin
- 1 oz. of apple juice
- ½ oz. of lime juice
- ½ oz. of honey
- Garnish: Apple slices
Steps to Make
- Gather the ingredients and mix everything in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously. Strain the mixture into a rocks glass.
- Add ice cubes.
- Garnish with apple slices.
- Serve and enjoy.
4. The Brand Meister
The holidays may be over but the cold season is just getting started. And what's a great drink to have during these frosty nights is a gin cocktail.
The Brand Meister is from Denmark-based mixologist Peter Povlsen aka Cocktail Pete @cocktailpete . He takes gin cocktails to the next level by using dry gin that’s infused with butterfly pea flower, also known as Blue Tea, which is a caffeine-free herbal tea. He then adds a little sweet citrus flavor using lemon juice and elderflower liqueur.
Ingredients
- 1.6 oz. Dry gin butterfly pea tea infused
- 0.6 oz. Lime juice
- 0.6 oz. Lillet blanc
- 0.5 oz. Elderflower liqueur
- 1 tbsp Syrup
- 1 slice Cucumber
- 2 Mint leaves
Steps to Make
- Add cucumber and mint to a shaker tin and give it a muddle.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the gin.
- Give it a good shake.
- Double strain into a chilled glass with a rock of ice.
- Gently float the gin on top.
- Garnish with cucumber, dehydrated lemon, and mint.
5. Ye Merry Gentlemen
Sometimes it’s all about presentation. Amy Traynor aka the Moody Mixologist @moodymixologist turned a rather simple cranberry gin cocktail into a work of art using a pine tree glass and the perfect sky color. She also added ginger syrup and solstice bitters to complete the mix, resulting in a masterpiece that is Ye Merry Gentlemen .
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Gin
- 1 oz. Homemade cranberry syrup
- 0.75 oz. Lime juice
- 0.25 oz. Fiery Ginger Syrup (@liberandco )
- 5 drops Solstice Bitters (@freepourjennys )
Steps to Make
- Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake until chilled and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and cranberries.
6. Red Moon
Now if there’s ever a cocktail name that’s so perfect for what the drink looks like, our money is on the “Red Moon ”. It’s by Cocktail In Paradise @cocktailinparadise , a Turkey-based barman and mixologist. It’s a simple combo of rum and peach liqueur that gives the drink its color. It’s even made prettier when garnished with some Frank grapes.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. Rum (@havanaclub )
- 1 oz. Peach liqueur
- 1.5 oz. Pineapple juice
- 1 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 1 oz. Blueberry juice
- A small bunch of Franc grapes
Steps to Make
- Use a nice round stemless glass shaped like a moon.
- Mix ingredients with lots of ice.
- Garnish with Franc grapes.
7. The Aviation
Who doesn’t love a blue cocktail? There’s something about the color that’s so easy on the eyes that you just want to drink it so fast and get a refill ASAP.
This pretty little blue drink by The Margarita Mum @the_margarita_mum is called The Aviation and is based on Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin and Maraschino, a liqueur obtained from the distillation of Marasca cherries. The result is a fantastic combo of warm spice and almond-like sweetness with a hint of alcohol burn.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Irish Gin (@gunpowder.gin )
- 1/2 oz. Maraschino liqueur
- 1/2 oz. G.E. Massenez Creme de Violettes
- 3/4 oz. Fresh lemon juice
- Dehydrated dragonfruit
Steps to Make
- Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill your favorite cocktail glass with clear ice.
- Double strain the cocktail and garnish with homemade dehydrated dragonfruit.
8. Little Snowflake
Here’s another spectacle of a cocktail: the Little Snowflake . This eye-catching holiday drink is a popular choice among our alcohol-loving friends up north courtesy of Robin Wynne @djrobinjame s and Miss Thing's @missthingshawaiian .
At first glance, one would think it’s one of those snow globes that mimic a snowstorm when you shake it. Presentation-wise, this is one of the most aesthetically-coherent cocktails we’ve ever featured. And it tastes just as good as it looks!
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Hendricks Gin
- 0.5 oz. St. Germain
- 5 oz. Strawberry, raspberry, Supasawa Cordial
Steps to Make
- Coat the top of a Collins glass with icing and rim with shaved coconut.
- Then skewer 3 small marshmallows with a toothpick to make the snowman. Add two cloves for the arms.
- Stick the exposed end of the toothpick (which should be on the bottom) into a large marshmallow along with a sprig of rosemary.
- Place it at the bottom of the rimmed Collins glass with just a splash of water.
- Set in the freezer and let it freeze.
- After it’s frozen, just pour in the mixture with some loose coconut shavings.
9. All Sauced Up 2.0
The Sauceress @the.sauceress , a festive mixologist from Greenpoint, Brooklyn, created this bourbon and cranberry sauce-based cocktail that is a modified version of one of her famous original drinks.
“All Sauced Up ” is quite a fitting name for what seems like a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner inside a glass. What makes it even more delectable is the presence of Chicory Pecan Bitters which provide the aromatic flavors of coffee, chicory, pecans, and cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. Bourbon (@russellsreservebourbon )
- 0.5 oz. Grand Marnier
- 1 oz. Homemade cranberry sauce syrup
- 0.5 oz. Tangerine juice (@nataliesoj )
- 5 dashes Chicory pecan bitters (@elguapobitters )
- Squeezed lemon
- Soda Water
- Rosemary Sprigs
Steps to Make
- Crush the rosemary and add it to a shaker with lemon juice and whiskey.
- Muddle well.
- Add ice and other ingredients except for soda water.
- Shake and strain into a cup full of crushed ice.
- Top off with soda.
- Garnish with cranberries, mandarin wedges , more rosemary, and a cinnamon stick .
10. Good Morning Clewiston
The “Good Morning Clewiston ” is a cocktail created by RumJava @rum_java that features RumJava Signature, a coffee-infused rum. This cocktail tastes smooth and creamy with a punch of banana. As the name suggests, it’s a great way to welcome the morning because of its coffee kick. Plus, that flower garnish is something you’d want to see early in the day.
Ingredients
- 1.3 oz. RumJava Signature
- 0.6 oz. Banana liqueur
- 0.3 oz. Maple syrup
- 0.8 oz. Fresh lemon juice
- 0.8 oz. Egg white
- Garnish: 1 cup Sugar, Black Thread, and a variety of flowers
Steps to Make
- Have the cocktail prepared beforehand by adding all the ingredients along with ice into the cocktail shaker.
- Shake for 10-15 seconds.
- Fine strain into a container and place in the fridge until needed.
- Once the garnish is made, simply pour the cocktail into the glass.
