We had looked around for a couple months to replace our worn out fondue pot. We have always had good luck with Oster products and didn't hesitate to buy this one. We love it!! I don't have any negative comments about this purchase.

We ordered this for our anniversary and I was concerned it wouldn’t be the greatest. It is actually pretty amazing. It heats up great, melts cheese and chocolate great and even cooks meats/pastas with a broth/oil. Would recommend

This is the style our family likes the most for beef & cheese Fondues. It’s simple to set for regulated heat. It’s wide enough for a group to cook & access their pieces. The Oster brand pots have lasted us for years.

I bought this fondue pot initially for us to do fondue at home. I remember my mom and dad doing fondue in the 1960's so wanted to bring back the glory days of my youth. It is an incredible fondue pot! I did not want to deal with the inconsistencies of the "sterno" flame pot setup. The electric heating on this is spot on. I have done two cheese fondue nights and an oil (deep fry) fondue night so far. They all went great.I was able to create the cheese fondue sauce right in the pot. I put in the …beer the first night, wine the second night, let it boil, had my grated cheese with some corn starch mixed in. Added the cheese slowly until I had the right consistency. I kept it on the lowest heat and the cheese was perfect through the dinner. When I let it cool I was worried at first that it would be a nightmare to clean. But the last of the cheese residue just came right out so easy. It is so easy to clean up I am going to start using this pot to make cheese sauces for other dishes like Mac-N-Cheese. I have never been able to clean up cheese sauce so easy before. The most recent fondue night was the oil night. I cut up cubes of pork and beef. You want them a little bigger than a typical stew meat size. I put out various sauces and dips for the meat. We stabbed a bit of meat, let it cook for about a minute, then put it on the plate to cool just a touch. Then dip it in the sauce and YUM! We were able to put 6 to 8 forks with meat in at the same time, and over and over and the pot was able ot maintain temperature the whole time. BTW set it to 350 if your wondering. The manual says 2 and 3/4 cups oil. That is a good start, but over time you will have to replace some. So keep a small bottle at the ready. We tried some pastry wrapped mozzarella cheese, and some wrapped Hershey Kisses. Good idea, but we need to work on how best to prep them. Next time I am going to use string cheese that we probably bread up different (not sure quite how yet). And the Kisses are too hard to stab. So we will try like mini 3 Musketeers or something that we will wrap in the pastry. Wife also had the idea of making little balls with biscuit dough and then having a bowl of cinnamon sugar to dip them in as soon as they are fried. Sort of like donut holes I guess. Sounds good, and I am excited to try.

temp control is something difficult, i simply turn on and offnot very easy to clean, so... i recommend to just rinse the inside the pot. just dont let it spill everywhere and save time doing the dished as this is not going into the dishwasher.but in overall, for something you wont use everyday, it's a good pot.

Perfect for fondue I will say that it heats up quick.
