I've had no problems with this opener and works well.

I open a bottle of wine in a few seconds with this product. Twist off the top with the blade and place the opener on top of the bottle and press the button to drop the corkscrew into the bottle to pull the cork out. Frustrating to watch waitstaff struggle to open a bottle of wine at a restaurant!

Replaced the one that we had for years. Easy to operate.

I received this wine opener as an engagement gift 9 years ago. It has worked flawlessly all these years and literally just broke last week. I immediately went on line to purchase the exact same one again! No time to fool around with anything else.

Any reviews who say it worked for a while and then quit, or it only gets the cork out half way, it's because they are forgetting to remove the previous cork from up inside the unit!!! This thing has worked great for years. I've only put batteries in it twice and done maybe 250-300 bottles. On 2 differnet occassions, because I was ditracted, it hasn't worked.... I'm like "what the heck?? Why isn't it working??" and then stupid me I realize it's because there's a cork already up inside that I di…dn't push back out! You just have to press the opposite button on the unit to release it back down the screw. Voila!
