The best bourbon cocktails highlight the whiskey's unique flavor when including complementary ingredients. The Whiskey Smash is a perfect example of this, as the sourness of the lemon helps offset the whiskey’s smokiness. The result is a flavorful drink perfect for sipping on a hot summer day.
When making a great Whiskey Smash, having the right tools is just as important as using quality ingredients. A good muddler is essential for extracting the flavors from the lemon wedge, and fresh mint leaves add a lovely cooling effect.
