About Absolut
Absolut Vodka is a Swedish brand of vodka. It is currently owned by the French group Pernod Ricard. It is one of the three biggest brands of vodka in the world which includes Smirnoff and Bacardi.
Absolut Vodka was established in 1879 in Åhus, Sweden by Lars Olsson Smith during the time when Sweden’s alcohol industry was monopolized by the government. A century after it was founded, Absolut Vodka was opened to the global market and it has grown to be one of the most successful brands in the world ever since.
Absolut is famous for its unique range of vodka flavors and products made from natural ingredients. From sweet and fruity vodka selections, such as Absolut Raspberri, Absolut Mango, and Absolut Grapevine to the spiced vodka varieties of Absolut Peppar and Absolut Orient Apple, there’s always a vodka for everyone.
Although the company has been sold to French group, Pernod Ricard, Absolut is still made in Sweden by agreement with the Swedish government. Absolut vodka is made up of natural ingredients such as water and a special kind of wheat that’s grown in fall and harvested in winter. The water is purified and comes from a deep well in Absolut’s hometown of Åhus in Sweden.
