1. Bruichladdich X4+3 Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

According to Bruichladdich, “One sip and you live forever; two sips and you go blind; three sips and you expire on the spot.” This Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is quadruple-distilled and pours out of the still at 90% ABV. This bad boy ages for 3 years and eventually gets bottled at 63.5% ABV (127 proof).

2. Brewmeister Snake Venom

A few sips of Brewmeister Snake Venom, and you won’t believe that you’re drinking beer! At 67.5% ABV, this is one of the world’s strongest beers, and due to the alcohol content, does not have any carbonation. Despite its powerful punch, its flavor has been described as hoppy, malty and very pleasant.

Manufactured by BrewDog, this beer is best known for its unique packaging. Each beer bottle is placed snugly inside of a stuffed stoat or squirrel! According to BrewDog, “ The striking packaging was created by a very talented taxidermist and all the animals used were road kill.” The beer is fermented and then frozen to allow the removal of excess water and yield an impressive 55% ABV. With its pitch-black color and the pleasurable smell of vanilla and smoke, its smooth flavor is that of a creamy bourbon-infused milkshake. The beer leaves a coating on the glass due to its syrupy texture and, despite its heavy alcohol content features moderate carbonation.

6. Schramm’s The Heart of Darkness – Honey Mead

While it features ingredients directly from Schramm’s orchard and berry patch, this craft honey mead is no dessert wine. Featuring a dark purple color and a complex flavor profile with notes of raspberries and black currants, this small-batch creation goes well with red meat and sharp cheese. The dense fruit flavor is balanced by a balanced finish, anchored by a strong honey base note.
